Osage Orange from trees in America are extremely dense, when compared to those in other countries. It is harder and more dense than almost all other domestic hardwoods. The grain lines and chatoyance flashes are dramatic in this whorl. I was gifted a piece by Ed Jenkins, and this spindle is the result.
