Leadwood isn't available very often and can be challenging to work with because of how hard/dense it is. The rich brown coloration should continue to deepen with age. This is a really unique wood. The tree this wood comes from was named leadwood because of how heavy the heartwood is. It is one of the heaviest known hardwods.
