Whorl is natural/unstabilized Carob, set on a Dymalux shaft in the color rosewood. The spinning bowl was made from the same piece of wood and is a perfect match. Carob is a hardwood native to the Eastern Mediterranean. The colors of pink, purple and grey are quite lovely in this wood.
