Spalted Tamarind is known for being a hard wood with a lot of dramatic patterning. It is a tropical wood native to Africa and Southeast Asia. The whorl was hand dyed in a light bordeaux color to further accentuate the marbled grain and the whorl has a modified Stiletto shape.
