Whorl was a beautiful white holly that I dyed/stabilized with pink. It is set on a Dymalux shaft in the color charcoal.

Counter balance "beauty marks" in both tungsten and copper weights.

Dye interacts with the natural coloration of the wood and can shift colors. I wanted a true pink, so decided to start with a white canvas. This piece of holly wood was very white to begin with and it took the color really well. This whorl is a new shape I'm trying out. It spins really nice!
