Whorl is Lavender dyed and stabilized Buckeye Burl, set on a Dymalux shaft in the color Walnut.
Buckeye burl is amazing domestic hardwood known for it's amazing swirling patterns, eyes and voids. The color contrast is really interesting and completely unique to each piece. The whorl has a slight purple cast and a unique modified stiletto shape.
